Kitchen Garden at the White House?
"Eat the View" is a campaign to urge President-elect Obama to replant a large organic victory garden on the First Lawn with the produce going to the White House kitchen and to local food pantries.
"Eat the View" is coordinated by Kitchen Gardeners International, a Maine-based 501c3 nonprofit network of 10,000 gardeners from 100 countries who are inspiring and teaching more people to grow some of their own food.
Since its launch in February 2008, Eat the View! has been featured in over 450 newspapers and countless blogs. Our "This Lawn is Your Lawn" video has been viewed thousands of times on the internet and is a winner of the "Climate Matters" video contest. As one of the winners, the video is being shown on national TV to an estimated audience of 50 million households.
"Eat the View!" is also currently the most popular and most discussed proposal on the website www.OnDayOne.org where citizens are setting the agenda for the next president.
Please direct all inquiries to Roger
